Despite its February release, Elden Ring’s popularity appears to have influenced some of Gamescom 2022’s big achievements as Lies Of P receives 3 massive awards.
The upcoming Soulslike title wowed crowds with its unique gameplay and dark, mysterious atmosphere, earning Neowiz Games the Most Wanted Sony PlayStation Game, Best Action Adventure Game and Best Role Playing Game awards.
Interestingly, these are the exactly the same prizes (opens in new tab) won by Elden Ring at Gamescom 2021.

Set in a gloomy Victorian setting filled with all the bells, whistles and gears of steampunk elegance, this is a fairy tale not seen since America McGee’s Alice: Madness Returns in 2011.
After its sweeping victories, Neowiz Games took to the Steam (opens in new tab) storefront to thank their fans.
“We would like to sincerely thank the fans of Lies Of P. We wouldn’t have achieved this without the support and love of the fans. […] Lies Of P is scheduled to be released in 2023, and we promise that Lies Of P will meet everyone’s expectations.”
Lords Of The Fallen, an upcoming reboot of the 2014 title of the same name, is another soulslike that impressed at this year’s Gamescom.
